BROKEN BOW, Neb. — A new nursing home in Broken Bow, Neb is set to open its doors next week. The new facility is loaded with several state-of-the-art features and perspective residents are excited. However, some said they are happier to know that they do not have to move far away from their family and community to get access to the services they need.

“My family is established here,” said perspective resident Kathy Eberle. “My family has been here for generations. It’s a small community, so I know most people that live in the area and yes it would be home.”

Inside, there is a beauty salon, ice cream machine and the walls are decorated with pictures of rural Nebraska.

“It’s so restful and peaceful,” Eberle explained. “I like the colors. I like the pictures. Everything about it [is] just so gorgeous.”

The facility is expected to hire 40 new employees. The unveiling of the nursing home is also a symbol of the town’s continued growth.

“We’re really in a position to where we are growing as a rural community,” City Administrator Brent Clark said. “This is another addition to the community that will increase our growth because of the residents that will be moving here into this amazing, amazing facility.”
