The Brookestone View Open House and Ribbon Cutting was held on Thursday October 27th.  A huge crowed turned out to see the new 42,000 square foot, 60-bed resident home located just north of the Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow. Before the Ribbon Cutting, Jack Vetter the founder of Vetter Senior Living, spoke to attendees and said it was a privilege to construct the new facility and it is now for the community to enjoy.

The facility will replace the hospital’s Heritage Hall nursing home and will open November first.
The new facility is split into three separate wings that are called households. Each household has predominantly private rooms, some side-by-side rooms are available, and also features a living area for socializing and its own clinical hub. It also includes a short-term rehabilitation therapy gym, a chapel and a community room that can be used by residents, staff and community members. The center court includes dining and an ice cream parlor.

Senator Matt Williams attended the event and told KCNI/KBBN News the new facility is another example of how Broken Bow and Custer County continues to step up and make things happen that make a difference . Williams said Brookestone View will  provide quality of life for seniors and their families and benefit the county’s economy.
